April 30: Half Dome
I undertook this California classic hike during the early spring, when the bite of snow was still in the air, the cables were down, and not a soul was to be found (well, ok, there were a few people). (details pictures).

April 9: Chew's Ridge Hike
An easy one day outing from the Bay Area to this ridge in the north end of Los Padres National Park (details pictures).


April 2: Red Lake Peak Ascent
Brian and I made an easy single day trip to the Tahoe region to conquer this snowy peak. The casualties were slim -- just my ice axe that I didn't even need for this trip!

March 19: Autoshow in Motion
My brother and I visited the GM Autoshow in Motion car show. Good fun, but way too short of time for the "test drives". High point of the day -- the Corvette babysitter saying "I guess you've driven fast small cars before." Yeah, baby, yeaaaaah.

March 8: Website Conversion
Hardly a big deal at all, but I finally started the website conversion away from my "it's all purple, all the time" theme. Now it's only all purple some of the time. Now, don't get me wrong, I love purple, but you know what they say about too much of a good thing.

February 5: Moscow Weekend Trip
En route to India, I stopped over in Moscow for a weekend of freezing my little @#$! off. It was cold, it was fun, and I even had a "conversation" with the Kremlin police that didn't end with me asking "do they serve borsch in the gulag?"
