41 - The slope I was on was so steep, I decided to traverse. |

42 - Around, around, above the valley. |

43 - And then, up some more, up this little slope. |

44 - And smack! Straight into this deadend. I needed a new set
of skills. |

45 - It was time to go down this valley. Easy as 1, 2, 3. |

46 - Except for this huge drop. I thought maybe I'd chimney down
it. |

47 - After I tossed the pack, I had second thoughts. |

48 - I had to climb this slot out of the valley. |

49 - And then I was back at the tree I sat on the day before! |

50 - I did climb down this slot in the rocks. |

51 - And I found the big shaft that was soooo scary. |

52 - I knew it was the right one because some fool left a bunch
of bear food there. |

53 - The shaft still looked pretty rough, skipping it was probably
a good call! |

54 - Luckily, the end was near. A short climb down... |

55 - Led back to flat, easy ground, and I was in my happy place. |

56 - After a while, I even found the path. For the first time
in 30 hours. |

57 - The path led to the car. What a bonus! |

58 - The valley looked so peaceful, even that tiny little mountain
that I *should* have climbed. |

59 - Up was the valley of Doom. Was Split Mountain there? So I'd
heard. |

60 - The sign made it sound so easy. I knew better now. |

61 - That which does not kill you makes you stronger. |

62 - Sometimes the best view is from the car. |

63 - I nursed my wounds and headed back to the easy life. |

64 - It looks like the hill took a little chunk outta me! |

65 - And it killed my toothpaste! |
